Engr. Kutubuddin Ahmed (Chairman)
Engr. Kutubuddin Ahmed is the Founder Chairman of Sheltech Group. He is also the Chairman of Envoy Legacy, which includes both garments and textiles. Envoy Textiles Limited (ETL), a wing of Envoy Legacy, is an international leading brand that is also listed in the Stock Exchange of Bangladesh, and boasts the first LEED Platinum certified denim mill in the world. Envoy Textiles has also recently won the National Export Trophy (Gold).
In 1988, he pioneered in the real estate sector establishing Sheltech, which currently has more than 12 flourishing entities including Sheltech Private, Sheltech Ceramics, Platinum Hotels, Sheltech Brokerage, Sheltech Engineering, Sheltech Technology, Grind Tech, Sheltech Consultants, Aerospeed, Sheltech Homes, Sreemangal Tea Estate, Bengal Meat, etc
He is the Advisor of Bangladesh Ceramic Manufacturers & Exporters Association (BCMEA) and was president of Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA), Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MCCI). He was Secretary General of Bangladesh Olympic Association (BOA) and a recipient of the National Sports Award 2002. He was also awarded with the Business Person of the Year 2016 by DHL and The Daily Star. He has been adorned with the prestigious title of Knight Officer of the Spanish Royal Order of Merit in 2020.
He obtained his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from BUET, and his area of expertise and entrepreneurship includes not only textiles and garments manufacturing, but also real estate, construction, ceramics, aviation and other industries.
Tanvir Ahmed (Managing Director)
Mr. Tanvir Ahmed is the Managing Director of Sheltech Group. He is also the Managing Director of Envoy Legacy, & Director of Green Textile Limited, which includes both textiles and garments along with the first denim mill in the world to obtain a LEED Platinum certification. Sheltech Ceramics Ltd. is one of the newest venture of Sheltech Group which has recently been awarded the National Productivity & Quality Excellence Award 2021 (Champion under Large Industry Category). Mr. Tanvir Ahmed was recognized as the youngest CIP in 2014 by the government of Bangladesh at the age of 29 for his contribution towards the national economy.
He holds a Master’s degree from Cardiff University, UK and a Bachelor of Arts degree (with Honors) from Kingston University, UK. He also obtained a Diploma from the London School of Economics (LSE). His area of expertise is business management, administration and finance and his entrepreneurship includes not only real estate, textiles and garments, but also hospitality service, financial trading, aviation and ceramics.
He is currently the Vice President of Bangladesh Ceramic Manufacturers & Exporters Association (BCMEA) and an Executive Committee member of Bangladesh Employers’ Federation. He is also a Director of the India-Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IBCCI) and a Director of Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA).
